  1. My goodness and I thought I had a large scrap basket but you beat me hands down.

I make blocks with the scraps then square up to the size I want. Here is a link to MILE A MINUTE…AKA GIBBLETS AND GRAVY… I often end a sewing session making one of these blocks…. They are great for donating a bunch of blocks to our CHARITY QUILTING GROUP.

These are fun to make… I sash them in with black to make the blocks pop… these are great for sofa throws.

  2. Hi Amy,
I listened to the first episode and am now half-way through the second (I listen to podcasts in the car – so I’ll finish it on my next drive), but I din’t want to wait until then to tell you that you are doing a GREAT job! Your voice is very clear & easy to hear & your ideas are wonderful. I do hope you’ll continue to podcast even after you finish all the sections in both the quilter & home notebooks!

  3. Wonderful podcast and blog! I’m not much of a quilter, but I am a crafter and all your tips and ideas are wonderful. I have several notebooks for crafting and around the house but they didn’t have any organization, and they aren’t consolidated. Not for much longer! I’m also working on opening up an Etsy store and will be using your tips to keep myself organized. Thanks so much, I’m looking forward to your upcoming posts/episodes!

  4. Great episode Amy. Several weeks ago I sent you an e-mail welcoming you to the podcasting world. I was wondering if you received it? E-mail me back if you have. scientificquilter (at) gmail (dot) com

    • Hi Darla, I did receive your e-mail. Just haven’t taken time to respond. Look for an e-mail in the morning. I promise!!

  5. I am not seeing episode 2 on iTunes. I am subscribed (I checked) and see that others are listening. Let me know if anyone has any tips. Nice work on the podcast and thanks!

  6. Great job on the podcast–you are so organized that I’m feeling a little guilty…I’ll keep listening and maybe you’ll rub off on me :) jill

  7. Hey, Amy! I use those same drawers for my scraps. Love them!

  8. Keep ‘em coming Amy! Enjoyed listening to your podcast while I pieced this afternoon
